Besto Tylo Affix Type-1

Besto Tylo Affix Type-1 is a German polymer-modified cementitious adhesive for fixing tiles. This adhesive is classified as Type-1 according to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specification IS 15477:2019.

Besto Tylo Affix Type-1 is engineered for bonding ceramic and mosaic tiles, as well as small-sized natural stones, on interior dry floors and walls up to 2–3 meters height.

Intended Use & Application Scope

  • Recommended Use: Primarily for fixing small to medium format porous tiles.
  • Suitable Tile Types: Ceramic (non-vitrified) and clay tiles with an apparent porosity greater than 3%.
  • Approved Substrates:
    • Cement plaster and renders
    • Concrete slabs and walls
    • Cement mortar beds and screeds
  • Application Areas: Designed for interior floor and limited wall applications in dry areas.
  • Limitations:
    • Not recommended for fixing vitrified, semi-vitreous, or glass tiles.
    • Not suitable for exterior use, areas of continuous water immersion (e.g., swimming pools, shower floors), or substrates subject to high vibration or movement.
    • Not for use on non-cementitious surfaces such as metal, gypsum board, or painted surfaces without appropriate primers and manufacturer consultation.

Shelf Life

12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened packaging.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry, and weather-protected area, off the ground, and away from direct sunlight and moisture.
